This is why our most valued partnership has always been with you, our CSSs.
From the introduction of “The Book” to current-day resources, our priority has always been to ensure your success and help you grow your business.
Partners from the start
When launched in 1995, Sentricon introduced to the pest industry a radically different way to treat for termites. Not only did it rely on termite baiting to achieve total colony elimination, the installation of the system was relatively simple in comparison to the trenching and drilling required for liquid treatments used by the broader structural pest management industry for nearly six decades.
But, the innovative product meant there was a bit of a learning curve for pest companies that signed on as “Authorized Operators,” the original title for CSSs. In the early days, Sentricon field sales and technical experts would work one on one to provide training and ensure success. The training covered a number of topics including: how to talk to customers about the product, how to sell the product, how to install and service the stations, and how to keep electronic records, which was an introduction to computers for some.
As the business grew, the need to streamline CSS onboarding quickly became clear. To that end, a reference manual was created. The 3-inch thick binder was packed full of educational information and authorization training. In addition to the reference manual, the authorization training included in-person sessions led by a sales representative, as well as video and field training.
Then, in 1997, we introduced “The Book,” which taught Authorized Operators how to market their business, their brand and their services to homeowners and commercial property owners alike. It also included marketing and promotional materials such as consumer pull-throughs and door hangers — well-worn relics from the past that were revolutionary during their time.
While The Book is no longer in use, it has helped shape and evolve the tools and resources available to you today. We continue to invest in our partnership with you through:

After 25 years, our commitment to you is stronger than ever. While our partnership may have begun with The Book, the truth is it started much earlier — from the moment the first in-ground bait station was installed. That partnership remains just as strong today as it was 25 years ago, and we look forward to continuing to partner with you on the future of pest management in the many years to come.
