Nearly 3,400 industry professionals from 80+ countries traveled to Nashville, Tennessee, for PestWorld 2015. Held Oct. 20-23, the meeting’s theme this year was Making Connections. Increasing Profits. Finding Answers. Throughout the four-day conference, attendees learned about the latest products, services and technologies in the industry, and had opportunities to network with colleagues from across the globe.
Sponsored by Dow AgroSciences, the PestWorld Opening General Session featured Jason Dorsey — the “Gen Y Guy” and one of the foremost experts on solving tough generational challenges. In his high-energy presentation, Dorsey exposed new generational truths that can have a direct impact on businesses. He shared data, firsthand stories and step-by-step actions for attendees to use to drive communication, engagement, recruiting and more.
“Jason’s keynote presentation dove into what millennials want and how they work,” said Chris Moyer, marketing communication manager, Urban Pest Management, Dow AgroSciences. “With four generations currently in the workforce, it’s crucial to understand generational differences. The findings that he shared will help Dow AgroSciences drive communication, engagement, recruiting and more.”
Dorsey also signed copies of his book, Y-Size Your Business, and chatted with pest management professionals and other attendees in the Dow AgroSciences booth. Paul Simons, global business leader, Urban Pest Management, Dow AgroSciences, was also onsite to socialize with attendees. The booth highlighted the company’s past, present and future in pest management. The Sentricon® System and ActiveSense™ technology were featured in the booth and drew hundreds of attendees who stopped by to learn more about the company’s evolving technologies.
